Jack Hanson was a Hollywood insider for most of his life. In the early 60s, he took a modest investment of $50,000 that he earned and saved on his own, and he and his wife Sally Hanson opened JAX clothing store in Downtown Beverly Hills.
After much success with selling high fashion to models and actresses, with the help of the designing talents of his wife Sally, he parlayed his profits in 1962 into another Hollywood icon called 'The Daisy' on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills. It was was Beverly Hills' first "members only private discotheque". The Daisy became the hottest in-crowd celebrity Hollywood restaurant by day, with its outside patio as seen in the film American Gigolo (1980), as one of the movie's locations, but also was the hottest night spot disco and nightclub for celebrities throughout the 60s, 70s, and well into the 80s. It's location on Rodeo Drive was the former home of Mike Romanoff's restaurant, a Beverly Hills landmark in its heyday.
Jack Hanson produced one film for the actor John Derek (who also wrote the screenplay) called:A Boy... a Girl (1969). Derek directed as well and was also the Director of Photography. The movie was a bust, and it was Jack's only Hollywood movie venture.- Camera and Electrical Department
